| Confidential Disclosure & Provisional Patent* Application
Contract This form affirms our agreement
that all disclosures made to Rhett Brockington of Internet-Patents.com
of Charlotte, NC in the USA
(the "Firm")
by (Name) (the "Inventor")
of (City) ,
(State/D.F./Province:(US & Canada only ) ,
the (Country) regarding the technology,
entitled " " (herein after referred to as the
"Invention"), are to be considered confidential.
Such
disclosures are made to the Firm for the purpose of assuring confidential disclosure of
the Invention, and defining the contractual expectations for the preparation of a
Provisional Patent Application. The contractual expectations delineate the cost, the
timing, and generally outline the process of preparing the provisional patent
application.
The process is
comprised of two steps, which, solely at the Inventor's discretion, can be terminated at
any time, without prejudice, and that the Firm has no rights to the invention.
Step 1: Inventor pay the retainer, which is to be
applied to the cost of preparing the Provisional Patent Application. Retainer can be paid
by any mutually agreeable means. Generally, mutally acceptable means are by personal
check, money order, cash, Visa or Master card through Paypal, cashiers check, and
international cashiers check.
Step 2: Firm prepares a Provisional Patent
Application. Preparation fee is $1700.
Government filing fees
are currently $75, for a total cost of $1775.
Provision 1. In the event that the contractual
agreement is ended prior to completion, it is agreed that said disclosures will be
maintained in confidence by the Firm. Funds, less the retainer, are refundable up to
the date the draft is sent to the inventor.
Provision 2. Inventor is to pay all PTO fees, which
are currently $75 for the provisional application filing fee (small entity).
The contractual agreement is set forth below, and is
binding upon execution, wherein execution consists of the following:
Step 1 (detailed): .....Cost $100 - Retainer
- To be Applied to Step 2
- Inventor - Signs and returns this agreement, discloses the
invention - to include pictures where appropriate, divulges patent search and competive
product information, and and pays retainer. Checks are to be paid to the
order of F. Rhett Brockington.
- Firm - Issues a receipt to inventor, and drafts provisional
patent application.
Step 2(detailed): .......Cost $1600 + $75
(Government filing fee)
- Firm - Sends Inventor an initial draft, and after editing
by the Inventor, a final draft. Firm prepares accessory documents including a POA, Small
Entity Status Statement. Sends a Billing Statement and copy of Application to the
Inventor.
- Inventor - sends a check for $1675 to cover balance.
- Firm - mails application and fees to PTO. Firm notifies
Inventor of actual filing date and serial number, and issues a receipt.
